Enjoyed the tour overall, but there were few things that could have been better. Our pickup location was changed 2 days before the trip, why do you list all top hotels as pick-up location when you cannot serve accordingly. Secondly the tour.. guide was Ok, but I wish he could have shared some more insights about the tour.Read full review
Skip the beach, and take your family on this adventure to see some of America’s most beautiful places. Our guide, Evan, was perfect. He is a teacher who has travelled to many, many countries. In well-timed bits and pieces, he told about t..he history, geography, culture, geology, and fun facts about every place we visited. Extremely knowledgeable. We never felt inundated. We always had a heads up on the plan for the next 4-6 hours, and Evan had a very thorough plan.
In addition to my 3 teenagers (who LOVED every moment hiking the medium-hard trails), we had a lady in a wheelchair with us. She also had a great time, with activities and paved trails she felt comfortable on. We travelled in a 14-passenger van with a trailer attached for the luggage, tents, and food.
Food - The lodgers ate breakfast at the motel. (There was also a grocery store that we could buy food from.) On the first day, Evan had purchased us sandwiches for lunch. On the second day we had a picnic and made our own sandwiches! On the third day, we made our own sandwiches and took them with us into the Grand Canyon. Dinners were on our own, except the second day. We had a lovely Indian taco dinner at the home of a Navajo-Diné family on the Navajo reservation in Monument Valley (optional). The first night the lodgers ate at the motel (delicious buffet) and the campers went to a BBQ, all optional with the grocery store nearby. The third night we ate in Seligman (Route 66).
Lodging - We chose not to camp in tents and paid the extra for a bed in a motel (heated room, private shower, extra sleep). It got down to 34 degrees, so good choice! Our motels all were in fantastic locations. Waking up to the sun coming up over Monument Valley is breathtaking. You can’t beat being 5 minutes from Bryce Canyon either.
Zion - Do the moderate trails! The easy trails were PACKED.
Bryce - Do the easy-moderate trail in a clockwise fashion. Walk among the hoodoos!
Lower Antelope Canyon - Do it!! Must be able to go up and down steep stairs. Stunning photos to be taken.
Monument Valley - Bring (or purchase) a handkerchief for the dusty roads. You are in an open vehicle with dust and dirt being kicked up.
Grand Canyon - It’s crowded, but lovely.
Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour - if you can afford it, do it!! Just my son and I did it. The views are far and beyond what you see in the ground. The helicopter allows you to see all angles, more rock formations, and more of the river.
Bonuses include Historic Route 66, Powell Lake, Glen Canyon Dam, wildlife (Antelope, deer, rams, elk, condors, bison, squirrels, lizards, and much more!), John Wayne’s cabin, movie locations, tunnels, and more.
What to pack - what they suggest, plus portable phone chargers and a book for the road. We wore sneakers and did fine.
There are plenty of comfort stops to use the restroom and get snacks and drinks.
My teenagers are pretty mature kids. I would be hesitant to bring a child younger than 8 or 10. We had early starts and late nights. Some people napped on the van, but I couldn’t.

100% I got a lot more than expected ... can totally recommend it.

It was my first trip to America and I wanted to see as much as possible. So I booked two tours with them. The 7 days Southwest Highlights and the 7 days Rocky Mountain Explorer Tour including Yellowstone.
I never did camping before and didn..'t know what to expect. I would still prefer a bed than a sleeping bag but I would definitely do it again. It is the best way to meet interesting people from all over the world and it is easy to make new friends while sitting around a campfire. :-)
The organization was perfect and our tour guide Christopher Patrick is an amazing person. He was always patient, caring, friendly and tried to do everything to meet our expectations. He surprised us every day with funny costumes, jokes and his wonderful personality. I expected a good trip and new experiences ... but I got a lot more. I lost my heart to the Mid West and found new friends.
Thank you and THANK YOU Chris. It was the trip of my life!

Great tour & tour guide friendly & had a love for what she does. You can’t see this amazing place on your own & have to do a tour. Well worth it. There was the $8 fee & some $2 charge but I had read the reviews & knew I had to bring cash ..for the fee. We also tipped our guide after as she was great & even gave us tips on how to take great photos, the lighting angles, etc.Read full review

It was my boyfriend and my first time ever going to the Grand Canyon, neither of us knew what to expect. I found Tours for Fun to be one of the most helpful, easiest, and accommodating ways to book. The staff was extremely friendly and he..lpful in making sure that everyone knew what to expected. For those that still didn't get it, the staff did not have a problem making sure that everyone was on the same page. I love my experience so much in October 2018, that I took my mom to the Grand Canyon in June of 2019. I have been suggesting Tour for Fun to everyone for any trip tours that they would like to take.Read full review
Excellent tour guide Katie. Very attentive and informative. Sense of humour. Very helpful taking photographs. Quite a long wait prior to the tour but well worth the wait. Very hot outside the canyon. We did Lower Antelope Canyon early Septe..mber and can’t imagine the experience could be improved.Read full review
The canyons are amazing!! I saw pictures of them and thought “photo shopped” not so, they are as beautiful or more so in person. Our tour guide Craig was great, helping us take pictures and taking care of folks. This is worth every pen..ny!!!Read full review
